Virginia M. Strathearn

February 2, 1933 - January 17, 2018


Age 84, of Warsaw, passed away on January 17, 2018 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw.

She was born February 2, 1933 in Genesee Falls, NY, daughter of the late George and Marion Perkins Jarvis. Virginia was employed for many years as a licensed practical nurse at the Livingston County Infirmary prior to her retirement in 1995.

Virginia enjoyed quilting and belonged to the quilting club in Perry. She was an accomplished landscape painter and was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Surviving are her children, Walter (Mary Lou) Strathearn, Kenneth (Cheryl) Strathearn, Phillip (Hope) Strathearn all of Wyoming, NY, Peggy (Chris) Brotz of South Carolina; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; her sister, JoAnn (William) Coffey of Fowlerville; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Exford.

Friends may call Sunday, January 21 from 4 – 6 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Virginia’s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 6 PM. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wyoming Hook & Ladder Co., PO Box 36, Wyoming, NY 14591 or the Wyoming County Animal Shelter, 4380 Route 19, Silver Springs, NY 14550.
