Robert F. Hummel, Jr.

September 14, 1961 - January 21, 2019

Age 57, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 21, 2019 at his home in Warsaw.

He was born September 14, 1961 in Lackawanna, NY, son of Robert F. Hummel, Sr. and the late Joan J. Jagiello Baker. Bob was a former Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputy and currently owned and operated Baker & Baker Trucking Inc. in Warsaw, NY. He was a graduate of Pavilion High School Class of 1979 and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bob was Commander of the Walter Klein 532 American Legion Post as well as the Vice Commander of the Memorial Post VFW.

Bob was an avid Buffalo Sabres fan and enjoyed golfing, motorcycling, hunting and loved spending time with his family.

Along with his mother, Bob is predeceased by his nephew, John Hummel.

Surviving along with his father are his wife of 25 years, Lisa M. Harvey Hummel; his daughters, Jessica (R.J.) Baker of Wyoming, Lindsay E. Hummel of Bliss and McKenzie L. Hummel of Perry; his brothers, John Hummel of Rochester, Daniel (Donna) Hummel of Attica and Michael (Patty) Hummel of PA; his step-brothers, William (Lynn) Baker of FL and Roger Baker of FL; his grandchildren, Abby Baker and Liam Baker of Wyoming and Oliver Mistal of Bliss; his stepfather, Vernon N. Baker, Jr. of Warsaw; his brother-in-law, Scott (Donna) Harvey of Spring Hill, FL and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 4:30-7:30 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A veteran’s service followed by military honors for Bob will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buffalo Niagara Honor Flight, P.O. Box 426, Clarence, NY 14031 and Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
