Dec 8.17 from Daniel W. Spink:
Dear Family of Noel Matteson,
I've not been in touch with the Mattesons in quite a few years with the exception of some on Facebook. I fondly remember when I was quite young, maybe 8 or so when Noel took me for a short motorcycle ride from his Mom's home, my A. Alice. I'm now 68 so would have been in about 1957 or so. Noel and I are first cousins. I being the son of Harold and Ruth Spink. Harold was Alice Spink Matteson's brother. May fond memories be of some comfort for you during this difficult time. There are no words to express the loss of a parent. Only gratitude for the efforts it takes to raise up a child to become an good adult. That is his tribute. Take care and hugs to you all from Port Orange, FL.ā™„
