Harriet A. Brown

June 9, 1926 - November 14, 2017

Age 91, a resident of East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, passed away on November 14, 2017 at the nursing facility.

She was born June 9, 1926 in Duke Center, PA, daughter of the late Harold and Lila Kemp Higley. Harriet was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and she was a long time member of the LaGrange Baptist Church.

Harriet was predeceased by her husband, Joseph W. Brown who died May 17, 2000. They were married on December 14, 1946.

Surviving are her children, Karen (Robert) Wilcox of Henderson, NV, Paul (Judith) Brown of Wyoming, NY; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Harriet was the sister of the late Earl Higley and Donald Higley.

Friends may call Saturday, November 18 from 1 – 2 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Harriet’s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 2 PM. Private burial will be in LaGrange Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 62 Prospect St., Warsaw, NY 14569 or LaGrange Baptist Church, 7092 LaGrange Rd., Perry, NY 14530.
