Doreen D. Keenan

November 10, 1943 - January 12, 2018


Age 74, a resident of the East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, formerly of Castile passed away on January 12, 2018 at the nursing facility.

She was born November 10, 1943 in Warsaw, NY daughter of the late Harold and Blanche Perrine Dake.  Doreen was employed as a licensed practical nurse. She worked at the Wyoming County Community Hospital, East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and for HomeCare & Hospice prior to her retirement. She also was employed as a respiratory therapist at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia in earlier years.

Doreen was a former longtime member of the Castile Rescue Squad. She was an accomplished singer and country music fan and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Doreen was predeceased by her daughter, Vickey as well as her siblings, Dorothy Willey, Raymond Dake and Robert Dake.
Surviving are her sons, Wade Keenan of Warsaw and Raymond Keenan of Castile; her grandchildren, Jake Keenan of Castile, Rachel Keenan, Ryan Keenan, Reilly Keenan and Amy McGinnis all of Warsaw; great grandson, Gavin Willis of Warsaw; her sister, Louise Loomis of Castile; her brother, Rolland (Sandra) Dake of Perry Center; nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A celebration of Doreen’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York, 2805 Wehrle Dr., Williamsville, NY 14221 or the East Side Sunshine Committee Fund, 62 Prospect St., Warsaw, NY 14569. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
