Charles E. Pierce


Age 83, of Warsaw, passed away on April 13, 2018 at his home under the care of hospice and his loving family.

He was born May 7, 1934 in South Hornell, NY son of the late Ira L. and Eliza Bellinger Pierce. Charles was a graduate of the State University of New York at Alfred. He served as the farm manager at the State University of New York at Alfred from 1955 to 1968.
Charles also taught animal husbandry at the college.  He then worked for over thirty years as a farm consultant for Reisdorf Brothers in North Java, NY prior to his retirement.

Charles was a member of the Alfred Rod & Gun Club and was a former 4-H leader, member of the Alfred Volunteer Fire Department and Lions Club member. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-three years, Alyce Lebohner Pierce, whom he married on May 1, 1954; his sons, C. David (Madonna) Pierce of Mt. Vernon, OH, Daniel E. Pierce of Brooklyn, NY; his daughter, Mary P. Frawley of Bellefonte, PA; his grandchildren, Naomi Ruth (Gabriel) Arn, Rachel Sarah Pierce, Anna Elizabeth Pierce, Jennie Deborah Pierce, Chelsey Rae (Matthew) Clark Fisher, Adam Nathaniel Clark; great grandchildren, Havilah, Sarah, Mary, Adelaide, Ariel and Corinne; his sisters, Scott Schneider of California, Linda Pierce Fishbach of Ohio; his brother, Ira Steven Pierce of Rochester; several nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by several siblings.

There are no calling hours. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HomeCare & Hospice, 450 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY 14569.
