Charles E. Hunsinger

CHARLES E. HUNSINGER

Age 84, a resident of the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw, formerly of Rock Glen, NY passed away on June 5, 2019 at the nursing facility.

He was born December 18, 1934 in Warsaw, NY son of the late Edward and Edna Sparks Hunsinger. Charles was employed for thirty years at Morton Salt Company in Silver Springs. In earlier years, he worked many years at the former Davis’ Store in Rock Glen. As a teen, he belonged to 4 – H and the Boy Scouts and as an adult was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows. Charlie loved camping and hunting; spending time with his family, vacationing and telling a good joke. He was an avid country music fan; a hard worker but most importantly a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Charlie was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Billings Hunsinger who died in 2018 and his great grandson, Zachary Keller.

Surviving are his children, Patricia (Albert) Keller of Warsaw, Christine (Ken) Henning of Castile, Timothy (Laura) Hunsinger of Pike; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alice Warren, Joan Fladie and Marilyn Wright.

Services are private. Private burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Castile. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John J. Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228 or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Phil spoke often of Charlie and has many memories of working with him at Morton. I'm sure they shared many hunting and camping stories. You all have our most sincere sympathy. We pray that you will take comfort in knowing that many happy memories will help him live on. God Bless!
