Richard R. Fite

April 22, 1938 - July 10, 2019

Age 81, of Warsaw, passed away on July 10, 2019 at home under the care of his loving family and hospice.
He was born April 22, 1938 in Elba, NY son of the late Charles and Eva Appleby Fite. Dick was a proud veteran of the US Army. Dick and his wife, Beverly owned and operated Fite’s Restaurant in Warsaw for many years. He was an airplane enthusiast who had his pilot’s license and owned his own plane. He was also a car racing enthusiast and he helped sponsor some area race teams. Dick was known for his outgoing nature and good conversation.
Surviving are his wife of sixty years, Beverly Streeter Fite whom he married on July 4, 1959; his children, Dennis (Susan) Fite of Delaware, Steven Fite of Bastrop, Tex., Bonnie (Richard) Totten of Stafford, Joni (Jerry) Cole of Dallas, Ga.; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his siblings, Robert (Irene) Fite of South Byron, Harry Fite of Chicago, Ill., Doris Stokes of Linden; many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late, Frank Fite, Norman Fite, Ronald Fite, Lucille Rich and Marjorie Rich.
There are no calling hours. Services will be private.
