Kenneth H. Weber

KENNETH H. WEBER

Age 95, of Wyoming, NY passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw.

He was born May 26, 1923 to the late Harry and Adelaide Murphy Weber. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Mary I. Weber, a daughter; Phyllis Johnson, an infant sister; Mary Eva, brothers; Maurice Weber, Harry Weber, Elwood Weber and John Weber.

Kenneth graduated from Pavilion High School in 1940 and worked with his father doing custom farm harvesting until he was drafted in January 1944. He chose to train to be a fighter pilot. After training he was assigned overseas and flew a P-47 Thunderbolt during World War II. He flew 90 missions in the time he was stationed there and was honorably discharged at the end of the war in August 1945. He was recognized this last year for his service by the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors at their monthly meeting and by Senator Gallivan at the Wyoming County Fair in Pike, NY.

He worked for W.W. Griffith Oil in Pearl Creek for 46 years driving a gasoline transport tractor trailer until his retirement.

Kenny was a long time member of the Five Point Rod & Gun Club and also enjoyed playing softball and basketball on a town team. He remained patriotic and had great respect for the American flag and was proud to serve his country.

He is survived by his children, Carol (William) Bradley of Pavilion, Charles Weber of Wyoming, Joanne Cox of Batavia; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; his siblings, Jake (Mary) Weber of Pavilion, Elva (Ivan) Draper of Wyoming, Genevieve Hint of Perry, William Weber of Albion, Vera Pursel of Pavilion, June (Marlow) Leake of York; sister-in-law, Judy Weber of Pittsford; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 7 from 11 AM ? 3 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a Veterans Service will be held immediately following visitation at 3 PM. Burial with military honors will follow at Wyoming Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wyoming Hook & Ladder Co., Inc., PO Box 36, Wyoming, NY 14591 or Mercy Flight of W.N.Y. 100 Amherst Villa Rd., Buffalo, NY 14225-1432.
