James E. Jaggard “Gpa”

December 28, 1935 - September 1, 2014

Age 78, of Route 19A Silver Springs, died Monday September 1, 2014 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital.

He was born December 28, 1935 in Warsaw, New York; son of the late Harvey W and Flossie E. Whitmore Jaggard. Mr. Jaggard was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the Harder-O?Donnell American Legion Post in Attica, New York.

He retired from the US Postal Service after 13 years and he worked many years at Westinghouse, both in Attica, New York. He also loved farming before and after his retirement in 1998.

Jim loved spending time with his family. He was an avid hunter, loved playing bingo and he did income tax preparation for many years.

He was predeceased by his wife Jackie on May 12, 2010.

Surviving are his children; Deb (Ken) Blaszak, Jim Jaggard, Roberta (Dean) Kaczmarek, David Jaggard, Dan (Jen Pfeiffer) Jaggard; grandchildren Tonya (Joe) Roberts, Brianne Blaszak, Kenny Blaszak, James ?Jimmer? Jaggard, Ben Jaggard, Samantha (Landen) Kaczmarek-Nesbitt, Tyler Jaggard, Katlyn Jaggard and great grandson Owen Roberts; Brother Harvey (Sheila) Jaggard, brother and sister in law Kenneth (Frances) Bassett of Worcester, MA and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert Jaggard, Loren Bennett and William Bennett.

There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 6th at 3pm at the home of Ken and Deb Blaszak (5998 East Road Silver Springs).

Memorials may be made to the Silver Springs Rescue Squad or a charity of the donor?s choice.
