Dorothy Chaddock Price

September 4, 1927 - December 31, 2018

Age 91, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2018 peacefully at her home in Altamont, NY. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, William ?Bill? Price.

She was born September 4, 1927 in Batavia, NY daughter of the late Vernon and Mabel Chaddock. Upon completion of nursing school, Dorothy?s passion and dedication to her nursing career spanned over forty years and took her to many different countries, affording her the ability to see the world and gain a love for traveling. After retirement, she occasionally had the opportunity to continue her travels with dear friends and family.

Her blue eyes, infectious smile and rose perfume would captivate the room. Dorothy loved her red lipstick and in her later years could be found under a red blanket and wearing her beautiful red shirts. A dedicated woman of family, strength, character and faith, she had an extremely forgiving and loving heart, quick wit and open door to all.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Buzz Chaddock, sons, Raymond Price and William ?Buck? Price as well as her dear husband, Bill.

Dorothy is survived by six children, Dixie (Dan) Gill, Glenn (Irene) Price, Wayne (Jeanne) Price, Vernon (Eileen) Price, Jeffrey Price, Betsy (Leonard) Kriger as well as grandchildren, Danny, Dara (Kyle), Lorelle, Angie, Rachael (Jay), Billy (Caitlin), Chris (Shalisa), Greg (Karen), Ben (Susan), Austin, Jessica, Courtney (Brett), Ashley as well as numerous great grandchildren.

Jul 13.19 from Holly Matson Granger:

I have many found memories of Mrs. Price from my childhood and into my teen years but the most remarkable mention of this fine woman was her strength. Taking care of all her children & family, as a single parent, in the 50’s & 60’s and having a full time successful nursing career with about 3 hours a sleep a day/night. Yep, she was tough as they come yet her heart was tender, made to give to others.  Please accept my sincere condolences.
