William W. Brown

February 8, 1927 - July 3, 2016

Age 89, of LeRoy, NY died at home on July 3, 2016.

He was born February 8, 1927 in Perry, NY son of the late Romanzo and Ruby Selden Brown. Bill was employed as a truck driver for the former DeWitt Company in Pavilion for forty-three years. Following his retirement from DeWitt, he worked as a truck driver for Jeffres Farms in Wyoming, NY for seventeen years. Bill was a long time member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #560 in Warsaw. He was also a member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church.

Bill was predeceased by his wife, Margaret who died on May 3, 2003.

Surviving are his companion, Joyce Traxler of LeRoy; his daughter, Mary Sage of Clarence; his sons, George (Denise Richards) Brown of Piffard, Robert (Brenda) Brown of Pearl Creek, Keith (Melody) Brown of Crossman, GA, Christopher (Jackie Lester) Brown of Stafford; fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his sister, Elizabeth Phillips of Perry; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Romanzo Brown, Margaret Mason and Dorothy Warner.

Friends may call Saturday, July 9 from 11 AM – 2 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Bill’s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 2 PM. Following the service relatives and friends are invited to a reception at the Pavilion Fire Department Recreation Hall (BACK ROOM), Rt. 19, Pavilion, NY. Private burial will be in LaGrange Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Loyal Order of the Moose #560, 13 Frank St., Warsaw, NY 14569 or LeRoy United Methodist Church, 10 Trigon Park, LeRoy, NY 14482.
