Age 77, of School Rd., Wyoming, NY, died December 5, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
He was born July 16, 1934 in Warsaw, son of the late Roy and Maud Shumaker Robinson. He was a graduate of Gainesville High School Class of 1950 and was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. Bill was a long time member of the Wyoming Hook & Ladder Company and was a member and past commander of the Walter Klein American Legion Post in Warsaw. He was employed for many years as a draftsman with the Cunningham Co. in Caledonia. He was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed hunting and was a member of the National Rifle Association. Bill also enjoyed making sausage and helping his friends at Dourie’s Shop Wise in Wyoming.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Judith Schneider Robinson whom he married May 26, 1962; his daughters, Shelley Cicero of Rochester, Marcia (Ravi Kalakota) Robinson of New York City; his son, William Alan (Tina) Robinson of Clemmons, NC; his grandchildren, Shelby Cicero, Jaima Cicero, Eli Robinson and Max Robinson; his siblings, Arthur (Carla) Robinson of Bliss, Laura (Howard) Feger of Gainesville, Linda (Tom) Janes of Warsaw, John (Bunny) Robinson of Phoenix, AZ, Henry (Patricia) Robinson of Bliss; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edward Robinson.
Friends may call Wednesday 4 – 7 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where an American Legion service will be held at 7 PM followed by his funeral service. Private burial will be held in Wyoming Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wyoming Hook & Ladder Co., Wyoming, NY 14591.
