William L. Grisewood

October 17, 1944 - December 17, 2016

Age 72, of Warsaw, died December 17, 2016 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born October 17, 1944 in Buffalo, NY son of the late Raymond and May Van Orman Grisewood. He was employed for many years with Marquart Farms in Gainesville. In earlier years, Mr. Grisewood owned and operated the Kenwood Hotel in Silver Springs for several years.

Bill enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing and gardening. He was an animal lover who always had a canine companion. In recent years, his great joy was attending his grandson’s sporting events.

Surviving are his daughter, Cheryl (Kent) Carpenter of Lambertville, NJ; his son, Steven Grisewood of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Daniel Carpenter, Emma Carpenter, Ryan Grisewood and Reese Grisewood; his brother, Gerald (Nancy) Grisewood of Warsaw, Gail Chasey of Geneseo, Catherine (Mark) Winrock of Rochester; cousin and close friend, Richard “Bud” Grisewood of Silver Springs; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late James Grisewood.

There are no calling hours. Services will be held at a date to be announced in the spring. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
