Nov 22.09 from Tom Ciufo:
I'm glad I had the chance to know Walter, he was a great guy and my wife and I both will always remember him with respect, and appreciation of his kindness and honesty.
Nov 21.09 from Joe & Nancy Krowski:
Walt was the kindest and dearest man we had the priviledge of having as a friend. Walt was on the Northport Condo Board and we had just purchased a unit there and we had to be interviewed. His main question was "Would you vote yes to heating the swimming pool?"
We gave the right answer-YES.
He took us to Chuck and Harold's for breakfeast in Palm Beach the next morning and gave us a grand tour of Palm Beach.
Every time we returned to Northport there was Walt to greet us with a big hug and come on in for cocktails.
He always had something nice to say about everyone and he would help you in any way he could. Northport was never the same without him. A truly great man has passed and left us with wonderful memories and some tears in our hearts.
May he rest in peace and we have no doubt that he will.
Joe & Nancy Krowski

Nov 21.09 from Dee Broman:
Uncle Walt was a great and wonderful man.I will always remember him as kind and thoughtful. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and he truly loved his large extended family.I will miss seeing him on our visits to New York, but he will live on in not only mine ,but all of our hearts and memories forever. The best tribute we can give him is to try to live the rest of our lives by his example.
Nov 21.09 from Don Broman:
Uncle Walt,he was so much more than an uncle to me. He was my "boss",my teacher,my best critic, and most of all my friend.Because of the start he gave me,I was able to go on to become a chef.I will always remember making soup for him in Fla.I don't know who enjoyed it more...me making it and watching him eat it or him eating it.I will miss you.
Nov 21.09 from Willaim Davids:
We will try this again. Dad is so sorry to hear of Walt's passing. He has so many good memories and had hoped now that Walt had moved back to the area they would see each other more. He so appreciated Walt's calls and visits when he was back from Florida. And of course Walt was one of his last friends from way back that was still alive and they could recall so many good times. I also remember coming to your parents restaurant in Warsaw as well as coming to the Beachcomber. We are sorry that we won't be there today for the calling hours and service but it's a long ride for dad to take. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Bill ( probably known to you as Dick) Davids ...was a fireman for many years, owned a cottage for awhile at Conseus Lake

Walt was a wonderful man! We loved him and couldn't wait until he would come up here for the summer. We looked so forward to sitting out in the yard or on the deck and talking with him. He will be very missed!
Nov 20.09 from Jackie (McCall) Bliss:
Our family has so many fond memories of the Broman family. The times at On Top of the Hill and the Beachcomber and of course the Doud Post! Walt was a wonderful man with a beautiful family. I will always remember that he made us eat whatever we had on our plate and drink our MILK... I can remember begging my parents not to fill my plate with food because Walt would make me eat it all! You will be in our thoughts and prayers. The McCall Family.

Walt wss an exceptionally genuine man's man and a wonderful friend. I fondly recall the years with him in the 50's at the Top of the Hill, and later at the Beachcomber and visits in Florida. Euchre games and fishing outings were marvelous fun. I have missed his company in recent years and now join the family in grieving at his passing.

Walt taught me so many things, just by being Walt. There are far to few people like him. He was always the one you looked up to. And just awhile ago, he blitzed me in gin rummy... it was the last time we played. Never could beat him.
