Age 88, a resident of the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw, formerly of Castile, died January 21, 2011 at the nursing facility.
She was born January 15, 1923 in Bethany, OK daughter of the late James and Ida Johnson Pults. She was employed as a seamstress at various department stores and in earlier years, she was on the staff of the library at Haile Selassie University in Ethiopia.
Mrs. Lockhart was a member of the Valley Chapel Free Methodist Church in Warsaw and the Silver & Gold Club in Castile. She enjoyed crafting and traveling. Vera was predeceased by her husband, William C. Lockhart who died in 1990.
Surviving are her daughter, Velda (Donald) Reiman of Perry; her grandchildren, D. Mark (Sarah) Reiman of Caledonia, D. Will (Tricia) Reiman of Dallas, TX; her great grandchildren, Mikala Reiman, Ian Reiman, Micah Reiman, Connor Reiman; several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Batavia at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Valley Chapel Free Methodist Church, 3415 S. Warsaw Rd., Warsaw, NY 14569 or Wyoming County Nursing Facility Activities Fund, 400 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY 14569.
