Age 29, of Route 39, Castile, died unexpectedly April 20, 2011.
He was born June 2, 1981 in Warsaw, son of Owen and Judy Oatman Eddy of Castile. Todd was a graduate of Letchworth Central School Class of 1999 where he was an accomplished athlete having played soccer, basketball and baseball. He had also attended Genesee Community College. He had worked for Community Action doing home weatherization and then worked for several years at the family business, Woodstream Campgrounds in Gainesville. He was currently employed at American Rock Salt in Retsof. Todd was a member of the National Rifle Association and was a past member of Silver Lake Country Club. He was an avid golfer and sports fan. Todd was an avid hunter and he enjoyed hiking, climbing and skiing.
Surviving along with his parents are his sister, Tara (Kevin) Spurlin of Galax, VA; his brother, Chad Eddy of Lynchburg, VA; his paternal grandmother, Vera Eddy of Gainesville; his aunts and uncles, Darryl (Kay) Eddy of Gainesville, Barbara (Reg) Beatty of Glens Falls, Debbie (the late Robin) Mimna of Amherst, VA, Jan (Allan) Monfils of Amherst, VA, Thomas (Cindy) Oatman of Woodbridge, VA; several cousins and many, many friends. He was the grandson of the late Hugh Eddy, Bernard Oatman and Mary Oatman; nephew of the late Nancy Lowden and great nephew of the late Teddy Boatfield.
Friends may call Monday, April 25 from 3 – 7 PM at the First Baptist Church of Wyoming, 28 Main St., Wyoming, NY where a service will be held immediately following calling hours at 7 PM. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Castile. Memorials may be made to the Wyoming County SPCA, 808 Creek Rd., Attica, NY 14011. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
