Age 86, formerly of Castile, died peacefully on July 7, 2010 at the Veterans Care Facility in Batavia.
He was born August 21, 1923 in Mt. Morris son of the late Michael and Josephine Mendelera Regatuso. Russell was a 1943 graduate of Mt. Morris High School. He was a WW II veteran serving with the 926th Engineer Aviation Regiment. He owned his own trucking company and later retired as a union carpenter in 1980. Russell enjoyed being outside, hunting, gardening and raising ducks and pigs.
Along with his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Tortorice Regatuso and his second wife, Helen Paraska Regatuso, a sister, Anna Regatuso, brothers Michael and Joseph Regatuso.
Surviving are his children, Michael (Laura) Regatuso of Silver Springs, Pamela Regatuso of Pleasant Hill, CA; grandsons, Michael Regatuso II of Silver Springs, Matthew (Kristina) Regatuso of Leicester, Bryan Neary of Pleasant Hill, CA; a great grandson, Maddox Regatuso of Leicester; sisters, Conjetta (John) Keyes of Wisconsin, Rose (Adolf) Schroeder of Rochester, Angela (Angelo) Tarmino of Mt. Morris; brother, Anthony (Nancy) Regatuso of Mt. Morris; sister-in-law, Beverly Regatuso of Leicester along with many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Perry.
