Ronald G. Skidmore

November 19, 1941 - June 19, 2016

Age 74, of Warsaw, NY died June 19, 2016 at the Wyoming Co. Nursing Facility in Warsaw.

He was born November 19, 1941 in Centerville, NY son of the late Benjamin and Onalee Hatch Skidmore. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during the Vietnam War. Ron was employed for twenty-two years at the Markin Tubing Co. in Wyoming, NY, prior to his retirement in 2003. He owned and operated a lawn care business for over twenty years as well.

Ron enjoyed camping and traveling and was always happy when he was working. He enjoyed spending time with his family as well.

Surviving are his wife of twenty-eight years, Gaile Cross Skidmore, whom he married on July 10, 1987; his children, Michael (Wendy) Skidmore of Warsaw, Cheryl (the late Christopher) Bookmiller of Castile; step children, Jason (Michelle) Feltham of York, Amy O’Neil of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Lee Michael, Cameron, Jaden, Shara, Kara, Lindsay, Jacob, Jesse, Jackson; his great grandchild, Jordyn; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James Skidmore, Steven Skidmore, Joyce Kaczmarek, Annette Kaczmarek, and Anita Burns.

Friends may call Thursday, June 23 from 2 – 4 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Ron’s veteran’s service and military honors will be held immediately following the visitation. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221-7380.
