Robert M. Buchholz Jr.

ROBERT M. BUCHHOLZ, JR.

Age 82, of Batavia, passed away on December 27, 2018 at the New York State Veterans Home at Batavia.

He was born August 29, 1936 in Castile, NY son of the late Robert, Sr. and Doris Reese Buchholz. Bob was a proud veteran of the US Army having served in the Medical Corps. He was employed for many years as an orderly with the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw and at the Batavia Veterans Administration Medical Center. Bob also was employed as a security guard for several years at Darien Lake.

Bob was a member of the Harder-O’Donnell American Legion Post in Attica. He was a former member of the Oddfellows in Warsaw, the Warsaw Fire Department, Wyoming Hook & Ladder Company and the Town of Batavia Fire Department.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Patsy who died in 2006; his brother, Richard Buchholz and his sister, Roberta Lohmar.

Surviving are his children, Timothy (Jamie) Buchholz of Brockport, Terry Buchholz of Attica, Jeffrey (Amanda) Buchholz of Amherst, Nathan (Kristen) Buchholz of Batavia, Benjamin (Terri) Buchholz of Batavia, Brenda (Ron) Zuch of Attica, Robert M. (Faith) Buchholz of Pennsylvania, Bonnie Tracy of Batavia; fourteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; his siblings, Racene (David) Pragle of Warsaw, Rosemary (Steve) Schum of Darien Center, Rebecca Buchholz of Vermont; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday, December 30 from 2 – 5 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Bob’s funeral service will be held Monday, December 31 at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Warsaw Cemetery. An American Legion service will be held Sunday at 5 PM at the funeral home.
