Richard E. Wright

April 13, 1945 - September 6, 2016

Age 71, of the Town of Gainesville, died on September 6, 2016 at St. Clair’s Hospital in Lakewood, WA.

He was born April 13, 1945 in Orangeville, NY son of the late Richard and Marian Prial Wright. Richard was employed for over forty years as a pipefitter at Morton Salt Company in Silver Springs. He was a lifetime member and past Governor of the Loyal Order of the Moose #560 in Warsaw. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Wellsville. In younger years, he enjoyed bowling and playing softball and he enjoyed his big trucks.

Richard was predeceased by his wife, Carol who died January 11, 2012.

Surviving are his children, Rodney L. (Theresa) Wright of Monticello, GA, Vickie L. (Dan) Wright of Warsaw, Duane A. (Vickie) Wright of New Bloomfield, PA, Scott A. (Wendi) Wright of Warsaw; grandchildren, Jeremy Wright, Brandon Treat, Amanda Ragland, Nicholas Wright, Devin Wright, Amy Ragland, Danielle Domena, Justin Wright, Duane Wright, Shanda McElver and Joshua Wright; his sisters, Shirley (Dan) Hennard of Short Tract, Marian (Norman) Smith of Hamburg; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Saturday, September 24 from 11 AM – 2 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Richard’s memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 2 PM. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or American Cancer Society, 101 John J. Audubon Pkwy., Amherst, NY 14228-1198 or the Loyal Order of the Moose #560, 13 Frank St., Warsaw, NY 14569.
