Age 39, of Abbott Rd., Silver Springs, NY died unexpectedly on March 17, 2009. He was born January 28, 1970 in Warsaw, son of James and Laura Wood Richards of Silver Springs. He was a graduate of Letchworth Central School Class of 1988 where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He was also a graduate of the State University of New York at Alfred Class of 1990 where he received an associates degree in Animal Science. He was a dairy farmer on the family farm, Silver Haven Farms. Mr. Richards was a member of the Farm Bureau and the New York State Holstein & Friesan Association and was a former member of 4 H. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with his many friends and spending time at his cabin.
Surviving along with his parents are his brothers, Todd (Mary) Richards of Silver Springs, Steven (Susan) Richards of Warsaw; his aunts and uncles, Carl (Connie) Richards of Silver Springs, Joan Meyers of Attica, Alvin (Lynn) Wood of Perry, Evelyn Shaughnessy of Perry, Richard (Helene) Wood of Virginia Beach, VA; his great aunts, Marjorie Shaw of Perry, Marion Perkins of Florida; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call Friday 2 – 4 & 6 – 9 at Harmon-Watson Funeral Home, 35 N. Main St., Castile. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at West Perry Cemetery, Bacon Rd., Perry. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials in memory of Paul Richards may be made to the Castile Fire Department and Rescue Squad or Wyoming County 4 H.
