Age 76, of Royce Rd., North Java, NY died May 11, 2011 at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 31, 1935 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late Arthur and Vera Mae Kimball Ward. Mr. Ward served for twenty years in the US Air Force. He served as an airplane mechanic and retired as a Technical Sergeant. Norman was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Air Force Sergeant’s Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed singing and playing music. In earlier years, he was an avid hunter, gardener and outdoorsman and he enjoyed working on his farm.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Donna Trank Ward whom he married June 15, 1956; his daughter, Janice Y. (Lynn) Richardson of North Java; his son, Neil Ward of North Java; his grandchildren, Shawn Richardson, Sarah Richardson, Carleton Richardson; his sister, Beverly (Raymond) Fisher of Springville; several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service with military honors will be held Saturday, May 21 at 10:30 AM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Its so hard to let go of someone you thought would live forever. You were a wonderful wife and a strong support in uncle norms daily life. You have had so many years of happiness. He will always be a part of that as those memories will bring smiles to you as. You look back on them.
