Michael T. McGinnis

September 22, 1951 - December 8, 2017

Age 66, of Castile, passed away on December 8, 2017 at Suzanne’s Comfort Care in Perry, NY.

He was born September 22, 1951 in Warsaw, son of the late Timothy McGinnis and Irene Smith McGinnis of Warsaw. He was employed as a foreman for Rochester & Southern Railroad for many years prior to his retirement. Mike was a veteran of the US Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an accomplished woodworker and in earlier years enjoyed camping. Mike enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Mike was predeceased by his first wife, Deborah R. McGinnis.

Surviving along with his mother are his wife, Connie Jordan McGinnis, whom he married on September 27, 2003; his children, Leah McGinnis of Warsaw, Rachel (John) Dacey of Queen Creek, AZ, Adam McGinnis of Boston, MA; step children, Leisley Jordan of Perry, Clinton Browne of Hume; grandchildren, John Dacey, Zack Dacey, Kyle VanDeGenachte, Tyler Jordan, Devan Pries, Kaitlin Pries and Sierra Browne; siblings, David (Jacqueline) McGinnis of Warsaw, Mary (Clark) Crist of Warsaw, Cathy (Michael) Murdie of Warsaw, Timothy (Jennifer) McGinnis of Warsaw, Peter (Michelle) McGinnis of Perry; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Shirley Purdy and Nancy Northrup.

Services are private. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Springs. Memorials may be made to Suzanne’s Comfort Care, 167 S. Main St., Perry, NY 14530. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
