Marie H. Davis

July 1, 1926 - June 24, 2012

Age 85, of The Cloisters in Warsaw, died June 24, 2012 at the Teresa House in Geneseo.

She was born July 1, 1926 in Olean, NY, daughter of the late Henry and Jennie Noteman Pringle. Marie was employed for many years as a butcher’s assistant at the Warsaw Big M store. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw, the Women of the Moose and the Red Hat Society. Marie was an avid bowler in area leagues. She enjoyed playing euchre, crafting and traveling on many senior citizens trips.

Marie was predeceased by her husband, Everett.

Surviving are her children, Donna Wilhoite of Warsaw, Linda Grover of Perry, Carol (Jim) Tyler of Phoenix, AZ, Mark “Monty” (Mary) Davis of Warsaw; grandchildren, Jeff Elwell, Brian Elwell, Sara (Mark) Smith, Amy Burch, Beth (Chad) Higgins, Care Jo (Andy Gutierrez) Burch, Dale (Lisa) Wilhoite, Jr., Chris Cousins, Kyle Zawadski and Anthony Natalie; 9 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Vicki Burch and sister of the late Norma Morgan.

Friends may call Thursday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a service will be held Friday at 11 AM. Private burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Teresa House, 21 Highland Rd., Geneseo, NY 14454.
