Age 81, of S. Academy St., Wyoming, NY died June 1, 2010 at the Wyoming Co. Comm. Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born May 30, 1929 in Bottrop, Germany, daughter of the late Berthold and Aguste Klingen Herr. She was an accomplished artist and over the years had a myriad of interests and hobbies. Laura led a full and meaningful life and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Burton C. Jones whom she married on February 4, 1958; her three children, Josef (Alla) Brunner of Wuppertal, Germany, Lore (Jack) Morton of Wichita, KS, Brett (Dawn) Jones of Perry; her grandchildren, Yochiam (Sabina) of Germany, Simone of Germany, Laryssa (Justin) of Kansas, Russel of Kansas, Andrea of Perry, Kyle of Perry; her brother, Lothar (Doris) Herr of Germany; her sister, Erika Herr of Rochester and good friend, Sylvia Dentinger of Rochester. Laura was predeceased by two sisters, Renate and Elvira and her brother, Berthold.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wyoming Hook & Ladder Co., Wyoming, NY 14591 or the Warsaw Rescue Squad, PO Box 22, Warsaw, NY 14569.
