Joseph J. Schillaci

February 4, 1922 - January 31, 2010

Age 87, of Nokomis, FL, formerly of Rock Glen, died January 31, 2010 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born February 4, 1922 in Rock Glen, son of the late Salvatore and Jenny Goodsell Schillaci. He was employed for 40 years with the former B & O Railroad. He retired in 1983 as shop foreman in Rochester. Mr. Schillaci was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #560 in Warsaw and the Loyal Order of the Moose in Nokomis, FL. He was past chairman of the Terra Cove Homeowner’s Association in Nokomis. He was an avid bowler and in early years was an accomplished athlete.

Surviving are his son, S. Joseph Skill of Rock Glen; his sisters, Dorothy Sorge of Depew, Jennie (Serafino) Miceli of Warsaw, Anna (Joe) Gardyjan of Angola; his brothers, Philip Schillaci of Silver Springs, Samuel (Judy) Schillaci of Rock Glen; his grandchildren, Gina (Jack) Skidmore, Tammy (John) Grover, Steve (Amy) Bailey, Alexis Skill and Niccolo Skill; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Linda Bailey and Patrick Skill; grandfather of the late John Bailey and brother of the late Michael Schillaci, Alfonse Schillaci and Clara Johnson.

Friends may call Thursday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a service will be held Friday at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Springs. Online condolences at http://www.robinsonandhackemer.com.
