John H. Daymon

June 25, 1937 - June 15, 2012

Age 74, of Route 20A, Warsaw, died unexpectedly on June 15, 2012 in Warsaw.

He was born June 25, 1937 in Dearborn, MI, son of the late Noah and Irma King Daymon. John was a veteran of the US Army and was employed for many years in research and development at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester. He was a talented furniture maker and woodworker. Over the last 25 years, John and his late wife, Eva participated in many arts and craft festivals. He was an avid reader and gardener. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and enjoyed watching football and NASCAR auto racing.

John was predeceased by his wife, Eva Gardner Daymon and his daughter, Eva Carroll both of whom died in 2008.

Surviving are his daughters, Deborah (Michael) Caruso of Belmont, MA and Lee Daymon of White Horse Beach, MA; his grandchildren, Emily Louise Carroll, Abigail Carroll and Cassandra Lee Caruso; many nieces, nephews and cousins; his pet and special companion, Susie. He was the brother of the late William Daymon, Irma Daymon, Jean Davis and Nancy Gaddes. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Lee and Sue Gardner; Tom and Karen Green and family for all their kindness and friendship to John over the years.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service in memory of John Daymon, Eva Daymon and Eva Carroll will be held Saturday, July 7 at 11 AM at the Middle Falls at Letchworth State Park. Full military honors will be offered for John. A reception will be held immediately following the service.
