Attica – James W. Cooley, 65, of Attica died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
He was born on November 20, 1946 in Batavia, the son of the late Leon and Betty Cooley.
Jim married his high school sweetheart, Mary K. Spink in 1966 and has two children; Jacqueline and James (Tracie), along with three grandchildren; Ryan, Mia and Gwenyth. He is also survived by his sisters; Patricia (John) Block, Peggy (Everett) Snyder and Denise (Roger) Durfee.
Mr. Cooley served four years in the US Air Force and a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
There will be no calling hours or memorial service. A celebration of Jim’s life will be at the Attica Hotel on Wednesday, June 27th beginning at noon.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the Attica Fire Department or Mercy Flight.
