JAMES R. ABBOTT
Age 60, of Rochester, NY, passed away on August 14, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Jim was born September 22, 1950 in Galeton, Pennsylvania, son of the late Royal C. Abbott and Frances Gavigan Abbott. He was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Abbott, brother in law, Vasant Pai, and great nephew, Ethan M. Abbott.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, of Rochester; six brothers, Roy (Sue) Abbott of Silver Springs, Stephen (Debbie) Abbott of Silver Springs, Bruce (Karen) Abbott of Mt. Morris, Chris Abbott of Dale, John (Vickie) Abbott of Silver Springs, Robert (Tami) Abbott of Dover, Delaware; two sisters, Cecilia Pai of Roswell, Georgia, Julia (Robert) Dennis of Rochester; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
There will be a private ceremony held by the family. Memorials may be made to the Open Door Mission at OpenDoorMission.com or Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
