James F. Cassidy

July 1, 1928 - October 12, 2011

Age 83, a resident of the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw, formerly of Mungers Mill Rd., Silver Springs, died October 12, 2011 at the nursing facility.

He was born July 1, 1928 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late Earnest and Ruth Guth Cassidy. He was employed for many years with General Motors Corporation prior to his retirement in 1977. Jim was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #560 in Warsaw and he enjoyed spending time on his farm and raising horses.

Surviving are his wife, Maxine Granger Cassidy; his son, Thomas J. (Linda M.) Cassidy of Silver Springs; his daughters, Tamara Carney of Warsaw, Melissa (Dean) Titus of New Jersey; his brother, Eugene Cassidy of Buffalo; his sister, Virginia Clark of Buffalo; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Charles Cassidy and Dorothy Rider; grandfather of the late Michael Cassidy; great grandfather of the late Alicia Nicole Cassidy and Caden Lee Cassidy.

Friends may call Saturday 12 – 2 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wyoming County Nursing Facility Activities Fund, 400 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY 14569.
