Howard E. (Buzzy) Weidman

December 11, 1948 - November 1, 2009

Age 60, of Fisher Rd., Warsaw, passed away at home Sunday, November 1, 2009 surrounded by his family.

Buzzy was born in Warsaw, NY on December 11, 1948, son of the late Howard and Florence Weidman. Buzzy was a graduate of Arcade High School, Alfred State and SUNY Geneseo. He served as a corpsman in the US Naval Reserve and received an honorable discharge in 1972. Buzzy, a financial advisor, was the owner of Genesee Vista Financial Services. Prior to that, he had worked in the agriculture industry as the owner of a dairy farm and as a dairy nutritional consultant.

Buzzy served as both a volunteer and President of the Board of Directors of Teresa House in Geneseo. He was a board member of the Seneca Siberian Husky Club. Buzzy was also a highly accomplished trumpet player and enjoyed playing with various regional orchestras.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, M. Anne Weidman; his sons, Glenn (Zulema) Weidman of Johnstown, CO, Air Force Capt. Hayes Weidman of Newport News, VA; his daughter, Grace Weidman of Johnstown, CO; his grandchildren, Immanuel, Rachael, Jolie and Taylor Weidman; his sisters, Marg DePalma and Kitty (Bill) Shepard both of Auburn, Mary (Ralph) Harris of Steamboat Springs, CO; several nieces and nephews as well as an aunt and uncle and many friends.

Friends may call Tuesday 7 – 9 PM and Wednesday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a service will be held Thursday at 1 PM. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Teresa House, 21 Highland Ave., Geneseo, NY 14454 or Perry Ambulance, 11 Mill St., Perry, NY 14530.
