Mar 10.11 from Bonnie Thiers:
It was such a pleasure to have known Mr. Ewell and to have been able to make him laugh. He seemed to know everyone and could tell the most wonderful stories of years ago. I so much enjoyed those stories and his company over the years. What a great family you all are. He once said he was very thankful to have his children nearby to help him out so much and I believe he meant that with all his heart.
Mar 8.11 from Charlene N. Tiede:
Even though it has been many, many years since I lived on the farm outside of Linden, I still remember the "characters" from the area. Your father is one I remember. I never knew his name was Hermon - everyone called him Chad. And I guess because I was a little child, he always seemed so tall to me. It's sad to think that so many people from my childhood are no longer with us. Please accept my sympathy.
Mar 8.11 from John R. Van Son:
Although 12 years older than me, Chad was a good friend of our family when we moved to Attica in 1936. He and his wife Dorothy lived across the road from West Middlebury Baptist Church, where we attended for many years. The last time I saw Chad, he was faithfully attending the West Middlebury Cemetery, where my mother, father, brothers and other family members are interred. He was a good friend.
