Henry I. Wilcox

March 4, 1948 - March 15, 2010

Age 62, of Lamont Rd., Castile, died March 15, 2010 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

He was born March 4, 1948 in Warsaw, son of the late Henry E. Wilcox and Agnes Carlson Wilcox of Warsaw. He was employed for many years as a dry wall finisher with the Painter’s Union Local #150. Henry was a member of the Mt. Zion Tabernacle Church in Gainesville. He enjoyed collecting turtle stones and turtle figurines. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Yankees. Henry was known as a good neighbor who was always there to lend a hand or plow a driveway.

Surviving along with his mother, are his wife, Polly Prince Wilcox whom he married on April 26, 1984; his son, Henri (Jennifer) Wilcox of Castile; his daughters, Heather Villa of Elmira, Moriah Wilcox of Warsaw; his step daughter, Valerie (Clint) O’Brien of Warsaw; his son-in-law, Daniel Villa of Florida; his grandchildren, Christopher, Alex, Allyson, Cassandra, Devyn Madison; his sisters, Janet (Leslie) Meehan of Tulsa, OK, Diane (Frank) Hattala of Warsaw; his brother, Ronald Wilcox of Warsaw; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Friday 4 – 8 PM at the Mt. Zion Tabernacle Church (corner of Jordan & Broughton Rds.) in Gainesville where a service will be held Saturday at 2 PM. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion Tabernacle Church, 5503 Broughton Rd., Silver Springs, NY 14550 or the Open Door Mission, PO Box 14236, Rochester, NY 14608.
