Helen M. Kennedy

July 3, 1917 - August 22, 2009

Age 92, of Rochester, formerly of Warsaw, died August 22, 2009 at the Edna Tina Wilson Living Center in Greece, NY.

She was born July 3, 1917 in Batavia, NY, daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Warren McNally. Mrs. Kennedy was employed for many years as a supervising nurse in the operating room at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. She retired in 1979. She was a long time member of St. Michael’s Church in Warsaw and was a former member of Silver Lake Country Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Wyoming County Sheriff Thomas V. Kennedy who died in 1966.

Surviving are her sons, Thomas (Sylvia) Kennedy of Roanoke, VA, Robert (Deborah) Kennedy of Rochester; her sister, Katherine Coughlin of Arizona; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Michael’s Church, 171 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY 14569 or Warsaw Rescue Squad, PO Box 22, Warsaw, NY 14569.
