Age 89, of Merchant Rd., Warsaw, died October 8, 2009 at the East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw.
He was born January 27, 1920 in Attica, NY, son of the late Frank and Norma Plowe Hedger. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Force serving in the European Theater during World War II as an engineer and gunner. Mr. Hedger was employed as a broadcast engineer for WBBF radio in Rochester from 1960 – 74. He also was an accomplished carpenter and was employed as a die maker for the former Almor Corporation in Warsaw for 15 years until his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Veness Hedger who died December 18, 2008.
Surviving are his son, Eric (Charlene) Hedger of Rochester; his grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sarah) Hedger of Chili, Gregory Hedger and James Hedger both of Rochester.
