Age 97, of Mt. Morris, formerly of Castile, died December 6, 2009 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris.
She was born January 16, 1912 in Mt. Morris daughter of the late Antonio and Antonina Scivoletti Gerace. She owned and operated Faynor Farms in Castile with her late husband, Fay M. Vincent from 1948 – 68. They received many awards over the years for their high production levels on the farm. Mrs. Vincent was an avid gardener and reader. She was a member of the Farm Bureau, Home Bureau and the Castile Grange and had been active in St. Patrick’s Church in Mt. Morris. She was predeceased by her husband, Fay M. Vincent who died May 30, 1979.
Surviving are her son, Richard Vincent of Houston, TX; her daughters, Shirley (Gary) Smith of Portageville, Ann (Dale) Reynolds of Wyoming, NY; her brother, Casper (Betty) Gerace of Henrietta; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Randy Smith and sister of the late Salvatore Gerace, Frank Gerace and Vincenza Bonjorno.
Friends may call Monday 11 AM – 1:30 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 2 PM at St. Michael’s Church, Warsaw. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Springs. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
