Frank G. Potter

October 19, 1932 - August 18, 2009

Age 76, of S. Main St., Castile, died August 18, 2009 at the Wyoming Co. Comm. Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born October 19, 1932 in Wheeler, NY, son of the late Herman and Josephine Heiny Potter. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a farmer with Southview Farms in Castile. Mr. Potter was a long time member of Gainesville United Methodist Church and was an active and proud supporter of the American Red Cross blood donation program. He was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Suzanne Potter who died in 2006.

Surviving are his children, Teresa (Jack) Radley of Warsaw, Christopher F. Potter of Silver Springs, Glen G. Potter of Warsaw, Robin (Robert) Patterson of Gainesville; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his brothers, Kenneth Potter of Warsaw, Alton (Brenda) Potter of Hammondsport; his sisters, Nelly (Lou) Losey of Bath, Dorothy Andrews of Florida, Frances Wright of Bath, Janie Potter of Bath. He was the father of the late Frank G. Potter, Jr. and brother of the late Ruth Potter, Edgar Potter, Herman Potter, Jr. and William Potter.

Friends may call Friday 11 AM – 1 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a service will be held immediately following calling hours at 1 PM. Private burial will be held in Glenwood Cemetery, Perry. Memorials may be made to the Gainesville United Methodist Church.
