Age 76, of Lake St., Perry, died December 11, 2009 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw.
He was born June 19, 1933 in Rochester, NY, son of the late Thomas and Beatrice Donnelly Donahue. Mr. Donahue was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. He received a combat infantryman badge and a Korean Service Medal with four bronze service stars among other awards and citations. He was employed for many years with Granger’s Wholesale Grocery in Batavia. He also had been employed at the former Robeson Cutlery plant in Castile and Champion Products in Perry. Mr. Donahue was a member of the Perry Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Perry Vets Club.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Morgan Donahue; his sons, Frank Donahue, Jr. of Franklinville, Patrick (Theresa) Donahue of Warsaw, Michael (Tammy) Donahue of Warsaw; his daughters, Jolene (Robert) Baker of LeRoy, Beatrice (William) Northrup of Castile, Mary (Ronald) Storms of Perry; his brother, Thomas (Hannah) Donahue of Attica; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late David Bruce Donahue and brother of the late John Donahue.
Friends may call Wednesday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a memorial service with military honors will be held Thursday at 11 AM. A veterans service will be held Wednesday at 6:45 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Perry Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John J.
