Florence S. Behr

October 10, 1915 - January 26, 2011

Age 95, a resident of the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw, a former long time resident of Silver Springs, died January 26, 2011 at the nursing facility.

She was born October 10, 1915 in the town of Wethersfield, daughter of the late Merritt and Mildred Wood Reed. She was a member of the Silver Springs United Methodist Church where she held various offices during her lifetime. Florence was a member of the Friendship Circle, the United Methodist Women and she taught Sunday School for many years. She was an accomplished seamstress and and was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.

Mrs. Behr was predeceased by her husband, Elmer P. Behr, Jr. who died in 1993.

Surviving are her daughters, Rhonda Zielinski of Attica, Ann (James) Mitchell of Wesley Chapel, FL; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; her sisters, Frances Reed of Warsaw, Alberta (Hughie) Johnson of Warsaw; nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lewis Reed.

Friends may call Friday 4 - 7 pm at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A service will be held Saturday at 11 am at the Silver Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Silver Springs. Memorials may be made to Silver Springs United Methodist Church, PO Box 308, Silver Springs, NY 14550 or Silver Springs Rescue Squad, PO Box 117, Silver Springs, NY 14550.
