Age 87, of School Rd., Castile, died January 12, 2009 at the Wyoming Co. Comm. Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born October 14, 1921 in Rochester, daughter of the late Maurice and Eva Mae Urmey Kausch. She was a member of the Oatka Baptist Church for over 50 years and was very active in the church with her husband Donald J. Richards who died August 27, 2005. She enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, helping her husband with their farm and being a homemaker. In earlier years, she worked at Bausch & Lomb in Rochester.
Surviving are her son, John (Wilma) Richards of Port Charlotte, FL; her daughter, Donna Richards of Castile; her grandchildren, Jody (Doug) Shurtleff of Syracuse, John Richards, Jr. of Castile, Jeff (Season) Richards of Painted Post, Michael (Lara) Richards of Winder, GA, Terri (Randy) Harris of Port Charlotte, FL, Larry (Bonnie) Burgess of Connecticut; 11 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Robert Kausch.
Friends may call Friday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 at Harmon-Watson Funeral Home, 35 N. Main St., Castile where a service will be held Saturday at 10 AM. Burial will be at a later date in Grace Cemetery, Castile. i have lost contact with larry burgess. we were best friends when he lived in pavilion,ny with wilma/john richards and there son michael. we went to leroy central school grad. 1986. larry moved to port charlotte,fl. it's been over 25yrs since i've seen him..i am hopeing he is ok... thank you..
