We were sorry to hear of the passing of Mae. Eleanor visited her at the nursing home. She always knew my face but couldn't remember my name. When I mentioned that Jim and Torrey (that's what she called Charlie) went to the car auction, Mae knew who I was. She always was alert when I visited. She and Jim have been missed by us.

I was so sorry to hear about Mae. I lived next door (in Aunt Madeline's house) from 1975-1976 while my husband was in Southeast Asia. My children and I loved being next door to Mae and Jim and we enjoyed our visits. I remember going Trick or Treating with Jim, Jr. and the children. It was a wonderful place to be and I always remember how great Mae always looked! She and Jim are in my prayers.

Feb 24.11 from Anne Carney Humphrey:
Mae was always one of my favorite persons. Many good childhood memories are centered on our Leicester Street neighborhood. She always had a smile and a kind word of encouragement. She will be missed.

Feb 22.11 from Sharon "clark" True:
Dear Family, I was sad to hear of Mrs. Powers passing. I did no know her very well but what I did, I know she was a very loving person. Her Husband, Jim was my bus driver for all the years I went to school in Perry, and he was a very dear man. Mr. and Mrs. Powers did compliment each other. James Jr. went to school with my sister Sue and you could tell he was the true imagine of his parents. Both of your parents will be missed dearly. They gave so much to the community. You will always have their memory in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God bless.
