Age 92, of Warsaw, NY passed away peacefully at East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw on May 25, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband, Irving Baxter in 1998.
She was born February 5, 1919 in Warsaw, daughter of the late George and Melvia Fisher. She was predeceased by one sister, Edna Fisher Perkins and two brothers, Herman Fisher and Everett Fisher.
Surviving are 5 children; 3 sons, Irving Mack (Sharon) Baxter of Wayland, NY, Thomas (Nunie) Baxter of Walkill, NY, Paul (Rebecca) Baxter of Somerville, NJ, 2 daughters, Susan Baxter of Warsaw, Alene (Barry) Reed of Lebanon, NJ; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Amy Rose Baxter.
She was loved dearly by her children, grandchildren and especially loved by the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Rock Glen of which she was a member for 59 years.
She grew up on a farm and loved everything dealing with the earth. She hiked, gardened, cared for bees and picked apples for local growers for 38 years through her 87th year.
A memorial service will be held at Rock Glen Kingdom Hall on Saturday June 4, 2011 at 2 PM.
