Age 87, of Hermitage Rd., Gainesville, died April 1, 2011 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born January 7, 1924 in Hamlin, NY, daughter of the late John and Wilhelmina Kerber Shuttes O’Beck Riley. Known to all by her nickname, “Chum”, Mrs. Sundt owned and operated the Early American Woodshed gift and craft store in Orangeville for many years and she served as a remedial reading teacher at Warsaw Central School for several years. Edna loved spending time with her family and was always involved with her grandchildren’s activities. She was an avid crafter and flower gardener and enjoyed bird watching.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Edward E. Sundt whom she married on February 16, 1946; her son, Mark (Diane) Sundt of Warsaw; her daughter, Dennese Clark of Warsaw and friend Ang; her grandchildren, Shane (Becky) Sundt, Suz (John) Goff, Matthew (Mel) Hulme, Emily (Colin) Reagan, Noah Sundt; her great grandchildren, Zachary, Braeden and Jessica Cummins, Kyle Goff, Joselyn Hulme, Riley Mucher, Willow Reagan, Logan and Mason Sundt and Landon Sundt.
There are no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gainesville Rescue Squad or the Pike Rescue Squad. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw
