Duane A. White

September 29, 1942 - August 12, 2009

Age 66, of Anna Maria Island, FL, formerly of Warsaw, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at home.

He was born September 29, 1942 in Warsaw, son of the late Alfred White and Madeline Bailey White of South Warsaw.

Duane was a proud military veteran who served in the US Army. He enjoyed reading, history, classic films and old television shows. He was an animal lover, avid sports fan and was an accomplished woodworker and carpenter. Duane enjoyed the simple things in life and quiet peaceful times.

Surviving along with his mother is his wife and long time companion of over 30 years, Mary Kiley White of Anna Maria Island, FL. He was dear father to two daughters, Denise Rader of Batavia, Wendy (Jeremy) Jerge of Cowlesville and one son, Jerry (Cassie) White of Hagerstown, MD; stepfather to Lorraine Murray of Warsaw, Steven Cicero of Bradenton Beach, FL and Douglas (Virginia) Cicero of Wonder Lake, IL; beloved brother of Lavern (Rita) White of Gainesville, NY, Eugene White of Warsaw, Wanda Casselberry of South Warsaw and Lisa (Donald) Myers of Wyoming, NY. Duane was the proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Audrey Bunce.

Friends may call Sunday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A veterans service will be held Sunday evening at 6:45 PM at the funeral home. A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday at 11 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery, East Rd., Gainesville.
