Doris M. Amberger

March 12, 1934 - May 31, 2012

Age 78, of N. Main St., Gainesville, died May 31, 2012 at the Teresa House in Geneseo.

She was born March 12, 1934 in Castile, daughter of the late Forest and Ethel Gell Green. She and her late husband, William owned and operated Bill’s Service Station in Gainesville for many years. Doris was also a home health care aid for HomeCare & Hospice for several years. She enjoyed needlepoint and collecting owl memorabilia and Doris loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, William who died May 16, 2004 and six brothers.

Surviving are her daughter, Darlene Fox of Gainesville; her grandchildren, Stacy (Jacob) Sumeriski of Castile and William (Sandy Cassford) Fox of Gainesville; her great grandchildren, Caden, Natalie and Allison Sumeriski and Kayla Fox; her sisters, Mary Van Allen of Perry and Evelyn Hamilton of Leicester; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Wednesday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a service will be held Thursday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Gainesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
