Age 75, of Mungers Mill Rd., Silver Springs, died May 14, 2012 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw.
He was born June 2, 1936 in Attica, NY son of the late Albert and Gladys Myers Plowe. Don worked as a millwright for 25 years at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy. He was a long time member of the United Church of Warsaw. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting and he also enjoyed horse racing.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Judy Shonk Plowe whom he married on April 7, 1956; his daughters, Leisa (Bruce) Zanghi of Perry, Laureen (Charles) Anderson of Livonia, Lynda (Steve) Brown of North Tonawanda; his grandchildren, Cameron, Meggan, Jamie, Alexis, Stevie, Kaylee, Jackie and Kaleb; great grandchildren, Hunter and Jayvion; his brothers, Norm (Evelyn) Plowe of Buffalo, Ronald (Gertrude) Plowe of Varysburg, Peter Plowe of Varysburg, Allyn Plowe of Attica. He was the brother of the late Eugene, Arnold and Randolph Plowe.
Friends may call Wednesday 4 – 8 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a service will be held Thursday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Warsaw Rescue Squad, PO Box 22, Warsaw, NY 14569.
