Age 76, of Minor Rd., Warsaw, died January 3, 2012 at home.
He was born March 22, 1935 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late Elizabeth Beyer Martin. Don was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. He owned and operated Ayers Construction for many years. He was a life member of the Memorial Post Veterans of Foreign Wars, Warsaw, and was a member of Botts-Fioritto American Legion Post, LeRoy, Free & Accepted Masons, Warsaw Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star, Centennial Chapter, Loyal Order of the Moose #560, Warsaw, Local #85, Carpenter’s Union, Rochester and was past president of the former Warsaw Lions Club. Don was also an avid stamp collector.
Surviving are his sons, Daniel (Denise) Ayers of Leicester, Randall (Candy) Ayers of Perry, Eric Ayers of Perry; his daughter, Laura Jean (Jim) Stiffler of Perry; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11 AM at Pleasant View Cemetery in Orangeville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joint Veterans Council, 26 Linwood Ave., Warsaw, NY 14569. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.

No one left to send this rememberance to. Eric misses his father dearly and wishes he had spent more time with him. He did however spend many hours talking to his dad about everything including his plans for the future.
