Donald D. Laesser

May 15, 1953 - August 28, 2017

Age 64, of Batavia, passed away on August 28, 2017 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia after battling cancer.

He was born May 15, 1953 in Batavia, son of the late Donald and Jane Merrick Laesser. Don was employed for many years as a graphic detailer, a job he loved. He enjoyed playing cribbage and barbecuing. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills and he enjoyed collecting memorabilia. Don was known for his sense of humor and he was a devoted father and grandfather.

Surviving are his children, Angela McIntyre of Batavia, Amy (Scott) Joy of Perry, Trevor Laesser of Grand Forks, ND; his grandchildren, Justin McIntyre, Nathan Beals, Kylie Joy and Bryce Joy; his brother, Mark (Sue) Laesser; his sister, Darlene (Scott) Larkin of Batavia; many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. At Don’s request, a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 2 from 12 – 5 PM at the Perry Village Park Community Building, Lake St., Perry. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John J. Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228-1198. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
