Age 76, of Gainesville, NY, passed away on March 30, 2017 at his home under the loving care of his family.
He was born October 20, 1940 in Buffalo, NY son of the late Carmelo and Mary Zuppa Sacco. Dominic worked for thirty-three years for the Laborers Union Local 210 in Buffalo prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Dominic enjoyed working with flowers and he was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He loved spending time with his family and in earlier years he enjoyed fishing, hunting and horses.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-four years, Carol Misechok Sacco, whom he married on February 15, 1963; his children, Lynn (James) Barber of Bliss, Jeanne (John) Wooster of Perry, Carrie (Joseph) Barton of Gainesville, Dominic Sacco of Bliss, Marie (Jeff) Cartwright of Bliss; his brother, Anthony (Patricia) Sacco of Gainesville; grandchildren, Christopher (Jen) Barber, Danielle Hurlburt, Melissa (Peter) Mitchell, Joseph (LeeAnn) Barton, Heather (Jake) Staskiewicz, Jessica Sacco, Meghan (Austin Harding) Cartwright, Paula Barton, Tracy Cartwright, Hunter Wooster and Mattea Wooster; several great grandchildren. Dominic was the brother of the late Pasquale Sacco, Phyllis Bauss, Mildred Miles and Josephine Fitzgerald.
Services are private. Private burial will be in Wethersfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14214. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
